Yes, this truck has been featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, but the hype over this Filipino-inspired truck is for real. Try the Beef Mechado – tender beef and potatoes braised in tomato sauce, soy sauce, garlic and lemon and served over rice. Don’t be a fool and leave without at least a handful of lumpia.

Zia’s Italian Food Truck

The Hill neighborhood in St Louis is probably more Italian than most places in Italy. Popular Hill mainstay Zias opened in 1985 and became an official . Their house made salad dressing is so addicting that it must be made with illegal drugs. In 2011, unsatisfied that Italian fare had not been properly mobilized, Zias food truck hit the streets. Try the Portabella Asparagi- portabella stuffed ravioli, tossed in olive oil, butter, garlic, fresh asparagus, mushrooms and topped with Fontinella cheese. It may seem cliché, but it would be criminal not to pair anything with a side of toasted ravioli.

Combinations are literally endless as customers create their own bowls choosing from Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese influenced ingredients. If you are overwhelmed with the though of crafting your own bowl, try the Lavendar Rice Bowl- sautéed bean sprouts, spicy Korean pork, daikon and carrots, Asian slaw and served with a sauce of yum yum, spicy Srirach and roasted sesame seeds.

San Francisco’s Curry Up Now is an unqualified success. Starting out as a small food truck operation in 2009, the business now includes a fleet of food trucks to go along with four brick and mortar restaurants and two craft cocktail bars. You can’t operate in the Bay area without quality vegan food, and Curry Up Now has that market cornered with the Hella Vega Burrito – an Indian burrito filled with tofu, methi pulao (fenugreek & turmeric rice), chana masala (garbanzo beans), and pickled onions and serves with a fried vegan curry potato samosa and chutney for dipping.
